The Clintons and the Democrats' moral decline

A couple of weeks ago I argued that for Hillary Clinton there was an acceptable level of violence that also included murder. Some strongly objected to my accusation, arguing that this view was in bad taste and purely partisan. Be that as it may, the statement is all too true. Equally true is that the vast majority of victims were be blacks and Hispanics, the very people Democrats claim to look out for.

That self-appointed black community leaders like the racist Al Sharpton and Rev Butts joined with Hillary is a telling symptom of the Democratic Party's total moral collapse. That political parasites devoid of any sense of decency exist on the fringes of all major political parties is a common and probably permanent feature of all democratic systems. But when a party accepts them as major players and accords them the kind of respect that used to be reserved for those who admired common decency and recognised the vital role it played in maintaining a civic environment, that party is in sharp moral decline.

The key role that Sharpton played in the terrible story of Freddy's Mart and the vicious 1991 Crown Heights riots that saw the lynching of Yankel Rosenbaum would need no recounting in a society securely anchored in sound moral values and steeped in reverence for the rule of law. Under the insidious influence of liberal thinking New York City came close to substituting the Rule of Hillary's Klan for the Rule of Law.

Anyone with a feel for history and an acquaintance with the mores of the old South cannot help but see the uncanny resemblance between Hillary, Sharpton, Jackson, etc., and those Democrats who were law-abiding citizens by day and Klansmen by night. Of course, it's true that very few Democratic politicians from that dark era donned white robes. What is true is that they gave tacit, and frequently open, support to the Klan. Without that subversive endorsement the Klan would never have been able to successfully defy the rule of law and become a major political force in the 1920s.

The Klan's weapons were ignorance, fear and hate. The very same weapons that Hillary's allies brutally wield without the slightest murmur of dissent from Hillary and her media thought police, particularly at The New York Times. The targets are Republicans and the NYPD, including black police officers who are sneeringly labelled Uncle Toms or race traitors.

Like their white-robed predecessors the new Klansmen use the language of hate, victim-hood and despair to inspire resentment and provoke race riots. Their enemies are dehumanised and demonised, denied any shred of dignity or integrity. And all the time Saint Hillary says nothing, just as those good ol' boys said nothing when blacks were lynched. After all, politics is politics. Ain't that so, Hillary?

But there is an almost Hitchcock-like twist to the tragedy that is being played out in New York's streets. In this instance members of Hillary's Klan are being 'lynched' by their own. These are the black victims of black crime, the dirty little secret that Hillary's liberal media tries to suppress. This is Hillary’s body count, the one she used as a stepping stone to the Senate and the one she knowingly helped create.

Since Hillary's supporters succeeded in abolishing the Street Crimes Unit the number of murders in the Bronx has risen significantly, accounting for virtually all of the rise in the City’s murder rate that occurred from January to March 2000.

Even as the bloody price of Hillary’s overarching ambition was being felt in the Bronx, New Yorkers rewarded her with a 64 per cent lead over Giuliani. (A few more dead blacks and her lead would have risen to 80 per cent). One despairing black NYPD officer confided in me that "having blacks vote for Hillary Clinton would be like Jews voting for Hitler." This is not as absurd as it sounds.

Come election time New York Jews voted overwhelmingly for a party that now nourishes anti-Semites allied with Hillary Clinton. The ancient Greeks had a saying that sums up this paradox: Those who the gods wish to destroy they first make mad.

As Hillary and Bill scheme to capture the White House in 2008 (watch your back, General Clark) voters need to be reminded of what kind of people they are really dealing with.
