The Benefits Of Working From Home

Due to the current situation that we find ourselves in, many of us are working from home remotely and we are hearing good stories and bad stories. Some people are excelling working remotely because it allows them a lot more time to spend with their families while also getting a lot of work completed. For others, they miss the camaraderie and the social aspect of going to work and so they are not having fun at all. However, in all cases statistics are telling us that people are more constructive when they are working outside the office and this might change the business landscape when the Covid situation is addressed. There is a lot to be said for being able to work in your pyjamas and not having to make the hourly commute to the office every day.

Our lives can be very different and as you sit down to enjoy your freshening and hot cup of tea from the Feel Good Tea Co, then you might consider the many ways that your life can be different if you continue to work remotely.

1. Your office can be anywhere – You don’t have to have a desk and chair located in a particular place to be able to do your work remotely. Your desk is wherever you’re sitting at any particular time and many people complete their work while sitting in an armchair or outside in the garden. It is you who decides where your office is going to be and what it is going to look like. You base your job around your life and not the other way around as has been happening for many years now. You no longer have to suffer the stresses of a busy schedule.

2. It will save you money – Just think of the money that you spend every day making your way to work and back home again. Depending on how far away your office is from your home, this could amount to a significant amount of money being spent every single month. This overhead can now be completely avoided because you’re working from home. You also don’t have to spend money on your wardrobe trying to find the right suit for the right location. Your pyjamas or some casual clothes will work just fine and you can enjoy all of your meals at home. Eating out in restaurants for every lunchtime, can all mount up in terms of money over the course of a year.

3. Create your own schedule – Any businesses provide you with a certain amount of work that they expect you to complete within the week, and then it’s up to you how you spread that time out in completing your tasks. You can start much later in the morning and finish and a little later at night, or you could do with the other way around. Whatever you decide to do, it is your choice and as long as you complete your work, then your boss will be happy. For more information about working from home, have a look here.
